Life is a journey not a destination!

Enjoy the journey.

When the pain of things staying the same becomes greater than the fear of change… people will embrace change.

I have had the opportunity to work and serve in areas where people were cast aside due to behaviors and consequences.  These people were no different than me… trying to make it through life in the best ways they knew how.  They had the same feelings I had or feelings that I began to feel as I began to heal.

Blame, shame, and guilt keep many of us SILENT with nowhere to turn, but inside.  The many people I have had the pleasure of working with and serving carry the feelings and behaviors of not good enough, people pleasing, lack of healthy boundaries, not liking themselves, numbness, disassociation and more.

The problem is they think they are alone.  I was like them “alone” carrying a very painful unfolding of truth and reality about the life I was trying to build.  The truth was, I was alone as I knew nobody who was going through what I was going through.  Friends and some family tried to understand, but it was difficult for them and not the understanding I longed for and needed.

It was after I had completed a lot of counseling and isolation that my daughter wanted to do something to help others “Find Their Voice”.  Coffee & Cocoa started and we only knew that we didn’t want others to think they were alone as we did.

The most amazing thing happened… we found people who understood.  We spoke and people joined in sharing their stories and than the most beautiful thing happened… deeper healing!

When we find our voice and speak we find that the power of shame, blame, guilt loses and who we were created to be can begin to LIVE.

The TWC Clubhouse is a vision and a dream to see people around the world do what only we can if we are courageous enough to choose… heal together!

Heal themselves, heal their families, heal their workplaces, heal their communities.

We welcome you to our dream playground where we begin to give the love, compassion, and understanding to the person in the mirror and share with others who understand, love and support each other.

We can’t wait to meet you in the TWC Clubhouse Communities!

Much love and hugs!

The best is YET to come!

Testimonials

Denise Mercer is someone using her voice to help others on their healing journey and bring awareness to the crime of childhood sexual abuse. As a fellow advocate I am honored to know Denise and see how her work is helping bring conversations to this important topic.

- Elizabeth Sullivan, Founder & CEO

I have had the pleasure of working beside Denise in an alternative work setting. Denise worked with primarily at-risk students who often struggled with behavioral and emotional disorders. I have watched Denise meet each student on their individual level and address their individual needs. She processed with them, supported them, and advocated for them like they were each her own child. Her knowledge of behavioral and therapeutic intervention coupled with her passion for helping today’s youth makes Denise a wonderful asset to helping anyone who needs extra support and someone who truly believes in them!

- Jennifer Bender

I have only come to know Denise over the last year, but right from the start we had a special connection. She is one of those rare individuals that puts you at ease with her humour, her compassion, and her ability to relate to hardships that we have all endured. I feel so blessed to be able to call her my friend.

- Isana Wild

In the year I have partnered with Denise Mercer, I have been impressed with her commitment to the cause of child sexual abuse prevention, her tireless advocacy on the part of child survivors and their families, and the warm and welcoming way in which she conducts her live sessions. Denise puts herself on the frontlines, sharing her experience and perspectives on the prevention of sexual violence and the manner in which it affects surviviors. She is strong, articulate, and a force to be reckoned with in our movement to end sexual violence!

Denise has an aptitude towards empathy and a natural awareness of an individual situation… both qualities are essential when seeking advice from another.
