Recovery is Possible: Facilitator Mary Knight
August 12 @ 3:00 PM - 3:55 PM EDT
An event every week that begins at 3:00 PM on Friday, repeating until August 26, 2022
Mary Knight is a survivor of extreme abuse, including child sex trafficking, ritualistic abuse, child pornography, and incest. Until she was 32 years old, she thought everyone suffered from physical pain all the time because that was her personal experience. Thirty-plus years later, her life is not only essentially pain-free but also full of joy.
To get well, each individual has to navigate their own healing journey. This class will help participants do so. Emotional support will be given when class members make disclosures of the current hurdles and obstacles they face.
No preparation for class is required, but at the end of each class participants will have an opportunity to receive a free preview of one section from “How I Healed from Fibromyalgia and Trauma-Induced Chronic Pain,” which is one of the essays in Mary’s upcoming memoir, “Becoming Mrs. Brown; Essays by a Child Sex Trafficking Survivor.”
Mary Knight holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work. She is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Washington. She has produced several films. She tells about her path to recovery in her personal documentary Am I Crazy? My Journey to Determine if My Memories Are True. All of Mary’s films can be viewed free of charge at www.MaryKnightProductions.com.
